adidas KOTR 2009 singlet – the best ever!

Registering for and claiming the adidas KOTR race kits in the Megamall B Megatrade hall last week have been the worst experience I’ve ever had (at least in the world of running). Just asking for questions at the information booth induced one of the worst headaches. And among all the pains I’ve ever had encountered before, headache is the only one I could never tolerate. I have a lot of complaints, but looking back again at the adidas expo, I believe they had the best intentions for all of us runners. They planned to have a great event for us, at the expo, it just didn’t happen as they probably hoped for.

I have registered for a 5K race while Beth registered for her first 21K race. She has trained well for this, so please wish her good luck! (oh the 10K packet was for her friend. I had to go back next day just to get ours. Hassle!)

takbo.ph had a booth there, an opportunity for us to meet and discuss about the expo. (I remember how easy it was to register last year.)

Ok so now the worst is probably (or do we wish) behind all of us KOTR runners, so let us hope for the best tomorrow. For the meantime, did you all notice how awesome our new adidas singlet is? I think it is the best singlet design and quality fabric ever in both as a freebie racing singlet, or just a runner’s singlet. The colour yellow is the best for low light road running, and it should be the coolest during hot summer running. The fabric is so light that and it wicks my sweat when I tried wearing it in a morning run last Wednesday.

Now adidas has also included an extra blank race bib in the race pack. I believe it’s a way to express yourself by writing anything on it, just like their current slogan, “because every runner is different”. I have been thinking of putting “i2runner.com”, but I think it would just be corny, although corn is yellow… But I thought instead of putting words, maybe symbols, logos, badges, or icons are also good ideas. To best suit the colour yellow, I imagined all famous yellow-coloured characters. The first one to come to my mind was bumblebee. So that’s it! I’ve drawn the “Autobot” face into my race bib, coloured it yellow with crayons to blend with the singlet, and viola, I AM BUMBLEBEE!!!
